Ant McPartlin will continue on like a trooper on Britain’s Got Talent after collapsing only minutes before the semi-finals.
The I’m A Celebrity host, 47, decked it out after taking part in Diversity’s special performance, declaring to co-host Declan Donnelly, 48, that he had ‘wet himself and farted’.
After the tumble, judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and Bruno Tonioli burst out laughing, and the two hosts continued to joke about it throughout the performance.
While the Saturday Night Takeaway host was spotted leaving the ITV studio with a bruised and swollen cheek, he has since announced that he will return to BGT tonight for the programme’s next live broadcast.
On a video shared on their Instagram, Dec was seen stifling giggles as he poked fun at his fan, quipping: ‘Well, did you see that fall? I nearly wet myself and farted at the same time. Let’s see how he is. How are you Ant?’
In mock outrage, Ant replied: ‘I can hear you, shut up! Shut up! I’m resting. I’m resting my back.’
Dec then asked Ant how he was doing, and he admitted to being a ‘bit sore like.’
He continued: ‘It was all right, I think the adrenaline gets you through it and now it’s a bit like, “Ooh, I think I need a bit of ice on that.”‘
Dec asked: ‘You’re OK? You’re gonna be here tomorrow?
Reassuring BGT fans, Ant confirmed: ‘I’ll be here tomorrow.’
Dec replied: ‘Oh thank God for that, I’m not doing it on my own.’
While Ant will compete in the BGT finals, he and Dec recently announced that they will be pausing Saturday Night Takeaway for more than two decades.
‘The show takes up such a lot of our year we just feel we need a little bit of a breather and that the show is going to take a little bit of a rest,’ Dec explained on social media.
Britain’s Got Talent continues tonight at 8pm on ITV and ITVX.
