After a terrifying experience on the new TV series Scared of the Dark, Scarlett Moffatt will never be the same.
Eight celebrities spend eight days living in complete darkness while being continuously filmed for the Danny Dyer-hosted Channel 4 series. In order to keep their spot on the show and receive food or treats, the gang must take part in tasks.
The celebs must yell “I’m Scared of The Dark” in order to exit “The Bunker” in true I’m A Celebrity style. They are now led into the light at this point.
Scarlett, 32, had a new sense of purpose and a can-do attitude after taking part in the experiment.
‘I feel like a different human being,’ she stated.
‘I feel like I can conquer the world now.’
The former Gogglebox star is now extremely appreciative of her sight and has grown to admire those without it.
‘I’ve never actually sat down and thought about how privileged I am to have sight,’ she told OK!
‘I have so much respect for anybody who has lost sight or is partially sighted because you don’t realise how much you rely on it.’
Scarlett was fortunate to have help as she is now expecting her first kid.
Love Island star Chloe Burrows, footballer Paul Gascoigne, musician Max George of The Wanted, Olympic fighter Nicola Adams, blind comedian Chris McCausland, actress Donna Preston, and boxer Chris Eubank, who ‘voluntarily’ withdrew early from the tournament, are all appearing on the event.
Talking about their bond Scarlett said: ‘We weren’t expecting to get as much out of it as we did in the friendships that we’ve made.’
She added that despite the difficulties, ‘we all had each other.’
On hosting the unique show, Danny, 45, said: ‘This is possibly one of the most bizarre things I’ve ever done in my career, and I have done a lot of mad things.
‘Throw in a bunch of celebs and make them do things with the lights off – it’s proper good telly.
‘You’re gonna laugh, you’re gonna laugh some more and I promise you’re gonna love it.’
Scared of the Dark starts on Sunday April 16 on Channel 4 at 9pm, and will run daily until Thursday April 20. It will also be available to watch on All4.
