AJ Odudu is relishing the Big Brother fans who are thinking that every move she makes is a hint that she will be confirmed as the new host.
The Strictly Come Dancing star, 35, is one of the most hardworking presenters in the business. It seems like she announces a new concert almost every day, and we’ve been there for every single one.
Nevertheless, with the upcoming ITV2 revamp of Big Brother, AJ, who formerly hosted Big Brother’s Bit on the Side, is the favourite to replace the shoes previously held by Davina McCall, Brian Dowling, and Emma Willis.
While we wait for ITV2 to reveal who will host Big Brother, eager fans believe AJ has been dropping hints that will take us to the solution.
She has not done so.
‘I feel like the Big Brother stans are really out in full force – it’s incredible!’ she told Huffington Post UK.
‘I did this cameo in a sketch for Saturday Night Takeaway, and I appear in that with [former Big Brother host] Davina McCall. Twitter was going mad, with “Oh my God, AJ has done the murder [in the Murder At Bigwig Manor sketch] and then she’s going to murder Davina and that’s why she’s the [Big Brother] host!” I was like, “Oh OK, wow guys, you’ve really gone there.”’
The Big Brother host revealed that she would ‘love to be considered as host,’ but was keeping quiet for the time being.
‘You’ll just have to wait and see,’ AJ teased.
Big Brother is presently looking for new competitors, with Kevin Lygo, director of media and entertainment at ITV, revealing that he wants to recapture the ethos of the show’s ‘golden time,’ when it was’more intriguing, smarter, and upscale than other reality programmes.
Big Brother relaunches on ITV2 later this year.
