AJ Pritchard broke down in tears while recalling his ex-girlfriend’s traumatic fireball incident on Sunday’s episode of Celebrity: SAS Who Dares Wins, amid reports he has since moved on with a new woman.
Abbie Quinnen suffered second and third-degree burns in a freak accident last year when she and the former Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer attempted to recreate a viral video when her hair and clothes caught on fire.
After being dragged into the interrogation room, AJ became visibly upset when pressed on his past in scenes that aired tonight.
Casting his mind back to the terrifying moment he saw his ex-girlfriend set alight, he said: ‘It caught her hair extensions and caught her sport’s top. She was in a fireball. Her top, her hair…
‘I put her in a situation where she had to go to hospital for five or six days in intensive care.’
AJ went on to admit: ‘I haven’t come to terms with the situation.’

Although the scenes were filmed months ago and before the couple split, AJ also told Chief Instructor Rudy Reyes and Mark ‘Billy’ Billingham that he and Abbie were ‘stronger than ever’.
The television personality had been in a relationship with fellow dancer Abbie for four years, but reports emerged that they had split last month.
Abbie, 25, has since confirmed the break-up and claims AJ, 27, ended the relationship with her.
According to the dancer, she caught AJ texting another woman just as they had been discussing marriage plans.
‘I’m completely devastated and my world has fallen apart,’ Abbie said.
‘AJ isn’t the person I thought he was. After everything I went through with him I thought we would be together forever. He has been the biggest disappointment to me.’
Opening up about her heartbreak, Abbie said she ‘didn’t recognise’ AJ as he was breaking up with her and that his demeanour towards her ‘completely changed’.
‘He wasn’t calling as much and seemed distracted,’ Abbie recalled.
AJ reportedly then told Abbie that he was unsure if he wanted to continue the relationship before eventually breaking up with her a short time after.
‘He was completely emotionless and ended everything,’ she told The Sun on Sunday.
‘He told me he no longer loved me and didn’t want to be with me anymore.’
Celebrity: SAS Who Dares wins airs Sundays at 9pm on Channel 4.
