Amanda Abbington has left Strictly Come Dancing owing to’setbacks,’ according to sources.
The Sherlock actress, 49, who is married to professional dancer Giovanni Pernice, was forced to skip Saturday’s live event “for medical reasons.”
While Amanda has yet to officially remark on why she did not participate, she did publish a message regarding mental health on social media on Saturday morning.
Janette Manrara, presenter of It Takes Two, shared the news on Friday: ‘We’ve got some breaking news.
‘Unfortunately, due to medical reasons, Amanda will not be taking part in Strictly Come Dancing this weekend,’ she said.
Janette added that protocols would allow her to return to the dancefloor if ‘all was well’.

And now Daily Star claims Amanda has made the decision to leave the show.
The 39-year-old added: ‘Amanda, we hope you get well soon, my love, sending you all the best wishes.’
Following the announcement, she reshared a post that included a photo and quote from late actor Robin Williams, it read, as reported by The Mirror: ‘People don’t fake depression… they fake being okay. Remember that. Be kind’.
This comes after Amanda denied reports that she was leaving the programme because to a disagreement with her partner Giovanni.
While a source said the duo did not get along, her reps denied the claims, stating they were absolutely false.
She then went on an expletive-laden social media rage only hours before one of the live events.
Beginning by wishing people a ‘happy Saturday,’ Amanda first said she was at work then corrected herself by saying she was at Strictly HQ, which was ‘just fun isn’t it, it’s fun shenanigans.’
‘I’m wearing my jacket that says “Who cares what other people think?”‘ she went on, making a face at the camera.
Strictly Come Dancing returns this Saturday on BBC One.
