Amanda Holden, a judge on Britain’s Got Talent this year, does not want to hear about any concerns about her attire.
The 52-year-old radio broadcaster frequently draws notice on the ITV entertainment programme for her choice of dazzling outfits, and she recently admitted that she’s never been told ‘no’ by the production crew to any of her clothing choices as she addressed the criticism she occasionally receives.
Although Amanda has received criticism in the past, she claims that this time around, everyone should be looking at her co-stars Simon Cowell and Bruno Tonioli.
Speaking ahead of Saturday’s series 16 debut, she said: ‘When everyone talks about my t**s, I mean these two [Simon and Bruno] have them out all the time.’
She added: ‘Man boobs, with your [Simon] shirts undone and him [Bruno] stripping off. I’m like… no Ofcom complaints about me this year please.’
Bruno, a newcomer, supported Amanda and just pushed her to’show it off.’
‘I don’t understand this complaining,’ he said.
‘She’s a beautiful woman, they’re beautiful women. What is the problem?’
Amanda has stated that her colleague BGT judge Alesha never receives the same level of criticism for her provocative outfits.
The I Can See Your Voice star added to The Sun: ‘Alesha gets away with wearing bikinis, but I don’t seem to. It’s bizarre. With shows where there are strong women on a panel, it’s sadly inevitable that they’ll be judged on what they’re wearing.’
Amanda, on the other hand, stated that everything she wears is ‘checked by an inspiring female producer’ and that she hasn’t been told she ‘can’t wear something… yet!’
She was recently asked if she enjoys courting controversy over her clothing after individuals complained to Ofcom about her Britain’s Got Talent clothes, to which she answered, ‘Oh yes, 100%. That’s what it’s all about. It’s hilarious how much controversy my outfits have caused – people have got so much time on their hands.
‘I mean, no one paid much attention to what I wore when I was in my twenties or thirties.’
Britain’s Got Talent returns on Saturday at 8pm on ITV and ITVX.
