In the midst of a cost-of-living crisis, Amanda Holden has the perfect idea.
Do you want to save money on your power bill? Simply make your clothing glow instead.
The BGT judge, 52, looked lovely in a silver gown as she came onto the stage with fellow panellists Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, and Bruno Tonioli for the final.
At first glance, it appeared to be a standard little dress (although a very costly one) covered with diamantés and accessorised with matching diamonds.
When Amanda unveiled her costume to her social media fans, they were in for a big treat.
Amanda began her video on Instagram Story in the dark before flicking her fingers and, as if by magic, her skirt lighted up!
We know who they’ll contact if the ITV studio loses power at any point.
Amanda accessorised her dazzling strapless gown with a huge transparent plastic necklace and matching bangles.
She styled her blonde hair in loose waves and donned a natural yet glam make-up look.
When it comes to fashion, the judge is no stranger to pushing the envelope.
She’s brought out all the stops for the 2023 BGT semi-finals, wowing spectators in both backless numbers and a figure-hugging yellow latex gown.
It’s no secret that her fashion choices have sparked controversy over the years, with real complaints to Ofcom over her ‘racy’ clothes.
Amanda, on the other hand, is unyielding.
In an interview ahead of Series 16, the TV personality admitted that she had no idea what all the buzz is about.
She also jokingly stated that Simon and Bruno had more skin than she does.
‘Man boobs, with your [Simon] shirts undone and him [Bruno] stripping off. I’m like… no Ofcom complaints about me this year please.’
Bruno, a newcomer, swiftly defended Amanda and merely pushed her to’show it off.’
‘I don’t understand this complaining,’ he said.
‘She’s a beautiful woman, they’re beautiful women. What is the problem?’
Amanda recently stated that her colleague BGT judge Alesha never receives the same level of criticism for her provocative outfits.
The I Can See Your Voice star added to The Sun: ‘Alesha gets away with wearing bikinis, but I don’t seem to. It’s bizarre.
‘With shows where there are strong women on a panel, it’s sadly inevitable that they’ll be judged on what they’re wearing.’
And, in case you were wondering, Amanda’s costumes are, in fact, approved before the cameras start filming.
She’s said everything she wears is ‘checked by an empowering female producer’ and that she hasn’t been told that she ‘can’t wear something… yet!’
