Amy Dowden looked stunning with a new wig while out with husband Ben Jones on a special occasion.
In May, the Strictly Come Dancing pro was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer and had a single mastectomy. She is currently undergoing treatment after doctors discovered further cancers.
Amy and Ben are making the most of their ‘good’ days while she is undergoing treatment. While Amy was feeling well enough, the couple went on a romantic date at Pig & Pickle in Kingswinford, which is close to their house.
The occasion was documented on social media by Amy, 33, who wrote: ‘When you’re having a good day so your husband treats you to brunch 😁😍💖🎀🙏.’
She added the hashtags ‘#itsthelittlethings #havingagoodday #chemo #newwig’ to summarise the outing.
Amy is sporting a new chestnut brown wig with a reddish tint in the photos, which she accessorised with a black headband.

Her twin sister Becky Dowden heaped praise on the new look: ‘LOVE this wig on you! You rock everything.’
Dianne Buswell, who was bridesmaid at Amy and Ben’s nuptials, typed: ‘Love this so so much hi Ben hi Amy miss you both.’
‘Love this of you both. What an incredible inspiration you are to the nation. X❤️,’ wrote Mike Bushell, who competed on Strictly in 2019.
After getting home, she removed her Amber Jean wig and told her 588k followers that it was time to relax.

Amy has previously highlighted the challenges of losing her hair, admitting that she sobbed every night.
Speaking to Janette Manrara on It Takes Two, Amy said: ‘I found losing my hair really traumatic, and it didn’t matter how much I prepared myself for it, I couldn’t even brush my own hair in the end because I couldn’t see with the amount that was coming out.
‘I couldn’t even look in the mirror in the end because I was bald on top, and one night I told my family and Ben, I’m shaving it tomorrow, and we did it, my friends and family got together and we all did it together and tried to make it as fun as possible.’

She now feels ‘liberated,’ and she even performed without her wig on Strictly Come Dancing.
Dianne, 34, is credited with playing a significant role in her choice.
‘Diane was just going on at me all day, saying “you look so beautiful, don’t wear your head scarf,” and I went out and did the dress run and I just realised that this Strictly family treated me no different,’ she shared.
Strictly Come Dancing airs Saturday and Sunday on BBC One and iPlayer, while It Takes Two airs weeknights on BBC 2.
