Fans of And Just Like That… have been wondering who Carrie Bradshaw will date now like she is single again, and it appears that her former flame Aidan Shaw is in her sights.
Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) was left a widow when the Sex and the City spin-off series startled fans with a premiere episode in which Mr Big (Chris Noth) suffered a devastating medical emergency.
Aidan (John Corbett) is back on the scene after an image was posted of the two strolling around the streets of New York holding hands, years after they split up.
On Friday, the show’s official Instagram page released a series of photos showing Sarah Jessica, 57, and John, 61, back in character, with the caption: ‘Shh. Please don’t tell anyone.’
Aidan, a furniture designer who first appeared in the third season, became one of Carrie’s enduring love interests and a fan favourite, with many preferring him over Big.
They split up twice: once when she cheated on him with Big, and again because she couldn’t commit to him after they got engaged.

They were last seen together on the show in season six, when they ran into each other on the street and he disclosed he was married with a young son.
They also appeared briefly in the Sex and the City 2 film, where they kissed in Abu Dhabi, but they were both married at the time.
Aidan had two more children by this time.
Fans have undoubtedly had a lot to say about the release of these new photographs from the set of And Just Like That…
Comments swamped the post, including ones from celebs including musician Maren Morris, who remarked that it wasn’t ‘fair’ that the programme has toyed with fans ‘for decades’.
Lisa Rinna, a reality celebrity, also chimed in, although she only sent emojis of shocked faces with their mouths wide open.
Others, though, were concerned that Carrie would break Aidan’s heart again.

We’ve already seen photographs from the set of Carrie wearing her former wedding gown, so is it possible she’ll be walking down the aisle again?
But, by the end of the previous season of And Just Like That…, Carrie had kissed her podcast producer Franklyn (Ivan Hernandez), so whatever happened there, as well as the whereabouts of Aidan’s wife, will need to be explained.
People were naturally confused when John didn’t appear in the first season after he teased that he would be engaged in the resurrection.
However, executive producer Michael Patrick King stated that it would have been ‘too much’ for Carrie to go through in one season following her husband’s death.
‘We wanted to get her through and into the light—the last episode is called, Seeing the Light,’ he told Deadline.
‘We wanted to get her out. [Aidan’s return] is a big storyline that everybody at home wrote that we had never intended.’
The sequel series follows Carrie, Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) as they navigate life and friendship in their 50s.
Samantha was notably absent after Kim Cattral refused to join the revival.
And Just Like That is available to watch on Sky and NOW.
