Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have been left red-faced after old performance video of them emerged.
The presenting team have been working together since they were children on CBBC’s Byker Grove, which premiered in 1989.
They also performed as pop artists PJ & Duncan, the names of their characters from the show, which they both featured on beginning in 1990.
They’ve been left embarrassed decades later after an old film of them performing on This Morning was circulated on social media.
Back in 1994, the now-48-year-old couple released Eternal Love, a Christmas song that peaked at number 12 on the UK Singles Chart and stayed two months in the top 40.
To promote the song, the then-19-year-olds came on the breakfast show, where they sang and danced while fans waved and screamed in delight from outside.
The two sang of ‘long chats alone in the park that lingered into the dark’ and ‘fires burning and bodies longing’ in the studio, surrounded by Christmas trees and candles.
The performance is now again making the rounds on social media, with the user that published it humorously calling it a “difficult watch.”

Underneath the video they commented: ‘Hahahaha!! It’s a more difficult watch for us.’
But many people who had no clue about the duos past musical careers also had many questions.
‘I am so confused lol. Was this a joke or for real?’ one person commented.
‘Ant and Dec – who are they?!!? I think you’ll find this is PJ and Duncan – last seen around the Grove in Byker,’ a true fan clarified.
Lots of others expressed their love of the hit.
‘”I made you a necklace from a chain of shells”. If that’s not poetry I’m not sure what is,’ one person pointed out.
‘Difficult to watch? This was the highlight of my day,’ another said.
Although some said they were struggling with balancing feelings of ‘cringe and nostalgia’, one went so far to call the love son ‘an absolute panty dropper of a tune’.
Zoe Williams, This Morning’s current resident doctor, even chimed in, stating she was beginning a petition to bring them back on the show for an encore.
Meanwhile, Chloe Madeley, whose parents, Richard and Judy, hosted the show at the time, commented on Twitter: ‘Made my year. Also, why isn’t Mum included in the credits beside Dad? ‘Granada’s Savage.’
Stacey Dooley was also a fan of the video, saying she’d viewed it ‘roughly 100 times’.
After so many years of working together, Ant and Dec cracked a joke that may have gotten them in trouble with their spouses.
Earlier this month, while presenting I’m A Celebrity, the two joked that they were in a “throuple.”
Ant said: ‘We both have one partner who means more to us than anything, who is the love of our life.’
Jumping in his co-host said: ‘And then we’ve got our wives!’
The two then burst out laughing, admitting they were in “so much trouble.”
Ant has been married to Anne-Marie Corbett since 2021, while Dec married Ali Astall in 2015 and the couple has two children.
