Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have teased a ‘luxury retreat’ location for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! I Need to Get Out of Here! However, aficionados will be aware that all is not as it appears.
The Geordie couple wear similar costumes that make them appear like hotel or spa personnel in first look photographs from the new series, as they show off a new jungle environment.
In one image, a five-star ‘The Jungle Retreat’ sign is shown near some lavish robes, while another shows the renowned walkway.
The last image shows the couple raking ‘Get Me Out of Here’ into the sand in an overhead picture, and now we’re waiting to find out who’s going into the bush.
The first look images come after a ten-second teaser announcing the new series dropped, with a mysterious voiceover teasing: ‘Come away with us, far, far away.’
‘The Jungle Retreat awaits,’ she added.
The full trailer, which premieres on ITV1 this weekend, will see the voiceover add: ‘Let us pamper you beyond your wildest expectations. You deserve this…’
However, something tells us that this will not be your average getaway… Unless your regular vacation involves eating kangaroo testicles and being swarmed by bugs.
Lioness Jill Scott was voted Queen of the Jungle on the last season of I’m A Celebrity, with Owen Warner coming in second and former health minister Matt Hancock coming in third.
Boy George and Mike Tindall were also among those on the bill.
While ITV has yet to confirm the official lineup for the next season, insiders say Katie Price‘s ex Danny Cipriani, The Apprentice’s Thomas Skinner, Denise Van Outen, and This Morning hottie Josie Gibson are all expected to appear.
Meanwhile, Ant and Dec just offered us a sneak peek at the final Saturday Night Takeaway before taking a break.
They’ve been in charge of the ITV variety programme since June 2002, but they revealed earlier this year that the forthcoming season will be their ‘final one for a little while’.
‘The show takes up such a lot of our year we just feel we need a little bit of a breather and that the show is going to take a little bit of a rest,’ they’d said.
But, before they take a well-deserved holiday, the Britain’s Got Talent judges have offered us a behind-the-scenes look at season 20.
They wrote: ‘Series 20 is officially in the making.’ They shared a photo of the ITV team with a whiteboard in the backdrop and a billboard for the famous programme projected on a screen.
