Ant and Dec are pushing to get Olivia Attwood back on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! after she was forced to quit the jungle just days after the new series launched.
The former Love Island star withdrew from the programme on medical grounds after a routine blood test showed she had low sodium and potassium levels, while also flagging anaemia.
Following her exit, Olivia admitted she was ‘gutted’ at having to leave, while also revealing to Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on This Morning that her appearance had been five years in the making.
Since then, presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have shared their mission to get Olivia back for a later series.
They revealed their aim during an Instagram Live following Monday’s episode when they received a question from a fan which read: ‘Can you bring Olivia back next year? We are missing a feisty female.’
Getting our hopes up, Ant replied: ‘That’s not a bad idea! I’m going to put that to the powers that be at the end of this show and hopefully I’ll have an answer sometime tomorrow.’
Dec added: ‘We’re gutted that she’s gone.’
Meanwhile, Olivia herself has vowed to make it up to her fans after they were left fuming by her exit, especially as she would not be able to give Matt Hancock a piece of her mind.
Taking to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday morning, she wrote: ‘Besties, I honestly don’t think words will ever be able to explain my gratitude for your love and support over the last couple of weeks.’
She continued: ‘I’ll make it up to you guys with something bigger and better! (That’s my promise, to you and myself).’
Olivia was previously asked on This Morning whether it would be possible for her to return to I’m A Celebrity for next year’s series.
She said it would all come down to logistics, while adding that she’s too sad to tune in and watch the current programme.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues tonight at 9pm on ITV.
