The BBC is rumoured to be in talks to acquire The Traitors USA for streaming on BBC Three or iPlayer, so thirsty UK fans may get their dose.
The American version of the hit reality show, hosted by Alan Cumming, will premiere on the platform on Thursday, January 12.
Unlike the UK iteration, this new season will feature celebs such as Below Deck legend Kate Chastain, Real Housewives’ Brandi Glanville, Survivor stars Cirie Fields and Stephenie LaGrossa, and Big Brother’s Cody Calafiore and Rachel Reilly.
Variety claims that the BBC is eager to get streaming rights on our side of the Atlantic, though no agreement has yet been reached.
It follows bogus rumours that The Traitors US would air on Sky streamer NOW, which is also home to Peacock because they share the same parent company, Comcast.

A Dutch producer created The Traitors, which premiered in the Netherlands in 2021.
It wasn’t until November that a UK spin-off, hosted by Strictly Come Dancing‘s Claudia Winkleman, premiered on the BBC.
For those who have been living under a rock, The Traitors is a murder mystery reality show in which 22 contestants move inside a castle in the Scottish Highlands and compete for prize money that can reach £120,000.
The candidates are divided into two groups during the competition: The Traitors and The Faithful.
By day, the group must collaborate to complete a series of challenges, and by night, it is up to them all to select who to ‘banish,’ based on whether they think them to be a Traitor.
As if that weren’t enough, The Traitors are also entrusted with murdering a Faithful every night.
The Traitors is available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
