When asked about her thoughts on the’most overrated’ Housewife, Kate Chastain didn’t hold back and immediately named Vicki Gunvalson as her pick.
The self-proclaimed queen of “whooping it up” was an initial cast member of the Real Housewives of Orange County, the first in the franchise, when it hit our screens in 2006, but she exited the show before to the beginning of series 15 due to creative differences.
She recently made an appearance on the second season of Ultimate Girls Trip, with her closest friend Tamra Judge, and it was just announced that she would be a part of the group for the fourth instalment of the spin-off.
Kate admitted that she is not a fan of the original cast member, despite the fact that they have been on our televisions for close to twenty years.
During her visit on the Virtual Reali-Tea podcast hosted by Page Six, she was questioned about which cast member she thought was the most “overrated.”
The Below Deck star didn’t waste any time in responding, saying, “Vicki Gunvalson, I don’t get it.” I’m sorry.
‘I just feel like she’s always angry and always screaming.’
The soon-to-be mother added that she was thrilled to watch Vicki possibly redeem herself on the forthcoming series of Ultimate Girls Trip, after having a difficult time in her debut season of the show. This was despite the vicious remarks that were made about Vicki.
‘I’m happy for her that she’s now going to Marrakech for a re-do,’ the former chief stewardess continued. ‘Because she was vulnerable at that time in Bluestone Manor.

‘Hopefully, after this new Girls Trip, I will change my opinion, but as it stands, Vicki needs to change her vibe.’
When asked whether she was a fan of Vicki from the first few seasons of The Real Housewives of Orange County, she responded, ‘Not really… Whoop it up? It’s not clever… it’s not something I would hang my hat on.’
Noted.

Vicki will also be making an appearance in the upcoming series of Real Housewives of Orange County, including on a cast trip to Mexico with Tamra, Heather Dubrow, Shannon Beador, Gina Kirschenheiter, Emily Simpson, and newcomer Taylor Armstrong. Filming for season four of Girls Trip is currently underway.
She will not, however, be rejoining the group in either a “friend of” or “full-time Housewife” role when she does return.
During the course of their conversation, she admitted that she was envious of Tamra since she received a prized orange instead.
‘I was jealous, mad,’ she told Us Weekly. ‘I thought the phone would be ringing for [me]. I’m like, “Hello, Andy [Cohen], you’re not calling me!”
‘She really wanted it more than me. She’s good TV,’ she added, before shedding light on her own scenes. ‘It was great. Loved it. Loved my girls.
‘I love my Tamra [and] Shannon and we’re good together.’
