Breaking Bad fans couldn’t contain their excitement after noticing the latest episode title for Better Call Saul was named after the original prequel.

It was recently confirmed that the show’s original frontman Bryan Cranston (Walter White) would be returning to the small screen alongside Aaron Paul (Jesse Pinkman), for the final season of the hugely popular spin-off.

It’s a bittersweet moment for fans right now as they’re only two episodes left until the series wraps up for good.

However, episode 11 – which premiered on Monday August 1 – was certainly one to remember as Bryan and Aaron reprised their signature roles in a flashback special.

Before the episode aired actor Patrick Fabian, who stars as Howard Hamlin in the reboot series, confirmed the episode title on Twitter.

It’s been nearly ten years since the finale of the crime drama, so naturally, fans were delighted over Walter and Jesse’s highly-anticipated return.

‘Better Call Saul Season 6 Episode “Breaking Bad’ wow what a series,’ one person wrote.

‘Tonight’s Better Call Saul is just a goddamn masterpiece in SO many different ways.

‘I’ve just decided that I will NEVER be a TV writer because what’s the point. I mean, the episode title is called Breaking Bad and it’s not even for the reason you think it is,’ another added.

Malcolm in the Middle actor Bryan admitted that the whole thing had been shrouded in the utmost secrecy for months beforehand.

‘It was [surreal],’ he recalled. ‘Aaron Paul and I, we had to coordinate our schedules to make sure we were available when they were in production. So a year ago, April, is when we shot it. And because it was a separate section of us shooting the scene, I don’t know what actual episode it’s in. Because it wasn’t done in order.

‘We were flown into New Mexico secretly and they created this shroud of privacy – we were sent right away to an Airbnb house that we were not allowed to leave. There was all this stuff going on, it was exciting! But also a secret and we kept it secret for a year.

‘And then when Better Call Saul premiered, they announced it, and Aaron and I said, “Oh, well, I guess we can talk about it now!”

Better Call Saul follows the life of ‘criminal lawyer’ Saul Goodman before he becomes Walt and Jesse’s representative.

It tracks Saul’s (real name Jimmy McGill) downfall from hard-working-but-slightly-crooked lawyer into full-on crook, alongside several characters from the drug war that dominates the events of the parent series.

Better Call Saul continues next Monday on AMC in the US, with episodes arriving the following morning on Netflix in the UK.
