The first teaser for the next Big Brother remake has been revealed, but presenters AJ Odudu and Will Best have received some slurs as they prepare to take over.
A new crop of housemates is poised to join the Big Brother house, more than two decades after the reality series originally broadcast and five years after the last season.
But, before we find out who they are, we’ve been given a glance at the hosts as preparations begin.
At ‘2.17pm,’ the duo can be seen sitting in a dressed-up RV perusing their phones.
While they aren’t talking, Will begins humming the theme music and tapping his feet, and AJ soon joins in.
As they get more and more into it, they start hopping up and down and dancing, however a voice over calls them out and says that the two are ‘in their trailer butchering a classic’.
Big Brother’sees it all,’ so they should be prepared for him to be dissatisfied with their efforts.
The teaser for the much-anticipated rebooted reality programme will also premiere tonight on ITV1 during Rugby World Cup 2023 Live.
Earlier this week, fans got their first peek at a promotional photo of the two, which showed them laughing outside their dressing area.
ITV has already thrown its support behind the series ahead of its debut, with the first episode apparently planned to air on ITV1 before shifting to its permanent home on ITV2.
This unique action has never been seen before in any series, not even Love Island.
According to a TV insider, ITV thought that giving the show ‘the most high-profile slot available’ would ensure that it premiered with a ‘boom’.
‘They’re hoping that a sensational start will hook the maximum number of viewers on the main channel, then bring them across to ITV2 for the rest of the series,’ they explained.
The source added to The Sun: ’This is something which has never been done before. Even when Love Island was at the height of its pulling power, it never had a launch show on ITV1’.
Big Brother returns to ITV2 and ITVX this October.
