Bobby Brazier’s father, Jeff, was overcome with emotion as he watched his son make his Strictly Come Dancing debut.
This year on Strictly, the 20-year-old EastEnders actor is partnered with Dianne Buswell, and their first dance was a lovely foxtrot.
Bobby, who portrays Freddie Slater in the BBC serial, admitted that he had never watched Strictly before, but that didn’t stop him from impressing the judges and spectators with his first dance.
The model had the greatest smile on his face as he floated around the ballroom floor to McFly’s All About You, nailing all the steps.
As soon as his act was completed, the cameras went to Jeff, 44, who was crying.
As he cheered for his eldest kid, who he shares with late Big Brother star Jade Goody, the TV host, 44, was overcome with grief and pride.
The dance got Bobby and Dianne a very high score of 29.
The actor’s enthusiasm was described as ‘very adorable’ by head judge Shirley Ballas.
Shirley also claimed that she and colleague judge Anton Du Beke were ‘amazed’ by his footwork abilities.
Anton said he was ‘a bit astonished’ following the sequence, which he called his best dance of the night thus far.
Following glowing feedback from the judges, host Tess Daly told Bobby: ‘It actually brought a tear to your dad Jeff’s eye.’
‘Oh, not again!’, exclaimed Bobby, who also left his dad emotional recently with a big win at the National Television Awards.
‘It did!’, Tess told him as Jeff waved to his boy from the crowd.
Reacting to the sweet moment, one Twitter user wrote: ‘Jeff crying in the audience really pulled my heartstrings, Bobby is amazing and you can tell how much this means to them both’.
