Bradley Walsh recently experienced an embarrassing trip down some steps while filming one of his TV shows.
While Bradley, 63, is one of the most successful broadcasters on our televisions, a recent misstep had him scrambling to restore his composure.
Bradley tumbled down the steps on set of the legendary gameshow Blankety Blank after posing a question to the contestants in a future episode.
He lost his balance and fell to the floor as he stepped past former England footballer and I’m A Celebrity…Get Out of Here! Jill Scott was the winner, with Anthea Turner watching from above.
While he was on the verge of collapsing, Bradley recovered swiftly and ran down the remaining stairs in front of him, regaining his footing.
While he seemed to be calm, it was evident what had occurred, and Jill bent over to check on him before picking up the box behind her that he’d managed to knock over.
Having no issue with poking fun at himself, Bradley told his guests: ‘I could have had you there.’
Bradley ultimately made his way back up to the top of the platform as he theatrically stormed up the steps and then feigned to hide behind Layton Williams and Jason Watkins as the presenter, guests, and live studio audience burst out laughing.
‘Be kind you lot,’ he joked soon after.
It’s not Bradley’s first gaffe in front of the cameras; the seasoned host was left frazzled on The Chase last year after his zeal prompted him to damage part of his platform.
Bradley smashed his palms down on the set during a head-to-head match with Chaser Mark Labbett after assuming a correct response had been locked in.
He saw he’d shattered a piece of the podium seconds later and jokedly inquired if there was a spare.
As the presenter sought to recover from the blunder, he quipped to the candidate, ‘If you win the £35k, will you lend me a couple of quid?’
Blankety Blank continues tonight 9:35pm on BBC One and on BBC iPlayer.
