Britain’s Got Talent 2023 has a champion, but not everyone is pleased.
Norwegian comedian Viggo Venn won the hearts of the country with his crazy slapstick acts, and his final performance was the epitome of chaos.
He had the entire studio rocking with swearing, exploding balloons, confetti, and a packed audience wearing hi-vis vests in his honour.
While he’s gained quite a following in recent weeks, there’s one act in particular that BGT viewers were surprised not to see in the final three.
Lillianna Clifton came in second after stunning everyone with her dancing.
Cillian O’Connor, an Irish magician, finished third.
Musa Motha, on the other hand, did not receive a gold, silver, or bronze medal.
The South African dancer has often moved the judges and spectators at home to tears, with the judges even violating the rules for his first audition to grant him an additional golden buzzer.
Musa, 27, lost his leg to cancer when he was younger, but that hasn’t stopped him from pursuing his goal, as he now includes his amputation into his spectacular performances on a daily basis.
He was the bookies’ favourite to win this year, much to the internet’s chagrin, but he didn’t walk away with the £250,000 prize.
Viewers tweeted their outrage after Musa failed to make the top three, claiming he was ‘robbed.’
‘Musa motha wasn’t even top 3……………… I’m moving continents’, one person tweeted.
I'm especially gutted for Musa Motha and Malakai Bayoh.. unbelievable that neither got into the final three and that neither won. But this what happens when you have a public vote, probably the craziest vote ever on @BGT #BGTFinal #BGT #BritainsGotTalent #BGT2023

‘I rarely watch BGT, but what a travesty that result was. #Musamotha’, another wrote.
‘BGT what an absolute joke, Musa Motha was hands down the absolute winner’, another tweeted.
Echoing their thoughts, one person added: ‘Musa Motha not in the final three! Whaaaaaaatttttttt???!!!’
There was also some surprise when Malakai Bayoh did not make the top three, despite having judge Bruno Tonioli in tears with his heavenly final performance.
One user commented, ‘justice for Malakai Bayoh what just happened buddy’.
‘I’m especially gutted for Musa Motha and Malakai Bayoh.. unbelievable that neither got into the final three and that neither won. But this what happens when you have a public vote, probably the craziest vote ever on BGT’, another penned.
Alesha Dixon told him: ‘You’ve captivated the nation, they love you,’ while Bruno said: ‘I think your physical comedy is world-class, you have created one of the most memorable characters since Mr Bean.’
Simon joked: ‘At least you didn’t make me look stupid tonight.
‘I have never ever met an act like you in my life, I will admit it, I really really love you now.’
When host Declan Donnelly asked why so many hi-vis jackets, Viggo said: ‘I wear so many hi-vis because it’s really cold in Norway.’
Dec asked him how it felt to have ‘caught the heart of the nation’ after winning the competition.
‘Not just the heart of Britain, but the heart of Simon,’ Viggo replied.
