Nicola Peltz Beckham spoke highly of her husband Brooklyn Beckham and said that he was the one who took her to the set of Welcome to Chippendales at four in the morning every day when the show was being filmed.
The American actress, who just last April tied the knot with the eldest son of former England player David Beckham and Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, plays the role of Dorothy Stratten, a Playboy playmate whose murder is committed by her estranged partner, in the series that airs on Disney+.
It is Kumail Nanjiani’s character, an Indian immigrant named Somen ‘Steve’ Banerjee, who unexpectedly becomes the founder of the notorious risqué male dancing group. The true crime show chronicles his story.
Nicola described how her husband, a budding chef, helped her get through a difficult call sheet and championed her along the road as they discussed the support that her spouse provided during the filming process.
She told the PA news agency: ‘He’s just really proud of me every time I get a job that I’m really excited about. He was great.
‘I mean, I had to be on set every day at 5am, so he drove me at 4am in the morning every day and he was really supportive and great.’

Sharing Brooklyn’s reaction to the first episode, the 27-year-old actress said the model and photographer, 23, couldn’t get enough of the upcoming saga.
Nicola added: ‘He wanted to see the next one and I said, “I don’t have it”. He really loved it.
‘Honestly, Brooklyn and I’s favourite thing in the whole world is to binge-watch a show in bed with our dogs – that is our happiest time.
‘We have a problem where we can’t just watch one episode, we have to finish it. It’s a problem.
‘But that was a little hard as we really wanted to see the next episode and I was like, “they only sent me one.”’
The pair announced their engagement in June 2020 and got married at the home of Nicola’s father US billionaire Nelson Peltz in April, having cancelled two prior dates due to the pandemic.
Wearing a custom Valentino dress for the occasion, the blushing bride wowed her husband so much he commemorated the day with a tattoo of their wedding vows, amongst plenty of others that paid tribute to his now-wife.
Welcome To Chippendales launches on Disney+ on Wednesday, January 11.
