Caitlyn Jenner is not the biggest fan of a Whatsapp group chat, it seems, as she apparently left her I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here pals’ one very rapidly indeed.
The former Olympic athlete stunned fans when she appeared on the 2019 series of the ITV show alongside stars including Kate Garraway, Roman Kemp, and winner Jacqueline Jossa.
The group became firm friends on the show – but, during a conversation about if it’s rude to leave a Whatsapp group on Good Morning Britain, Kate, 55, recalled: ‘I seem to remember there was a jungle Whatsapp group that was formed when we left I’m A Celebrity and Caitlyn Jenner – I think it was about two seconds [after] she exited the runway that she left the group chat.’
‘She was over it very early on!’ the star insisted, before coming to her pal’s defence and pointing out that Caitlyn did give her her personal number to stay in touch.
The pair shared various moments on I’m A Celebrity, including Caitlyn, 72, giving Kate surgery tips, and in 2020, the GMB host revealed that they had stayed in touch.
She told the Loose Women panel at the time: ‘Yes [Caitlyn has stayed in touch]. She’s coming back over to the UK for the National TV Awards next week, so we’ll all get to see her again then.

‘We haven’t actually seen her since because she was on that plane and out of there, “Can’t see me for dust, I want to get back to luxury!”’
Kate admitted that despite Caitlyn having a life quite different to any of the other campmates, she was happy to get involved with jungle life and was as down to earth as anyone else.
She added: ‘Apart from the fact she has an extraordinary life, she was great, she just got stuck in with everybody.
‘She was 70, sleeping on the floor of the jungle with rats and snakes and spiders and never moaned once. She’s amazing.’
This year, for the first time since Kate and Caitlyn’s series in 2019, the series will be returning to Australia.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV. I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here will return to ITV later this year.
