On last night’s broadcast of Have I Got News For You, Carol Vorderman didn’t hold back.
Carol, the 62-year-old former Countdown host, gave the Conservatives a piece of her mind during her first appearance on a comedy panel show in 20 years.
Carol featured on the show alongside Ian Hislop, and the opposing team included Paul Merton and comedian Nabil Abdulrashid.
Naturally, Boris Johnson did not escape unscathed in the event, with The Times reporting this week that he allegedly violated lockdown restrictions at his rural home, Chequers.
The reported gatherings at Chequers, the official country house of British prime ministers, were ‘obviously a breach of the regulations,’ according to a source.
Enter Carol, who has previously been known to speak out against the administration.
‘Boris Johnson is like a dose of diarrhoea that keens on giving, is he not?’ she asked, to which the rest of the panel howled with laughter.
‘Every time you switch on the news he’s still there. How does this happen?’
But apparently Carol didn’t stop there, as she took to Twitter after the show and said: ‘Hope you enjoyed @haveigotnews tonight. Maybe my rants are in the extended edition which goes out this Monday Night 1030pm. @BBCOne on Have I Got a Bit More News For You. I didn’t hold back.’
Fans were loving Carol’s appearance anyway, as one said: ‘Carol Vorderman on Have I got news for you, just described Boris Johnson as a dose of diarrhoea that keeps on giving! Brilliant!’
Hope you enjoyed @haveigotnews tonight 👍🏼

Let’s hope she doesn’t run into the ex-Prime Minister in the street again anytime soon, as she did with disgraced health minister Matt Hancock earlier this year at the Cheltenham races.
The unlikely meet-cute came after Carol publicly called Mr Hancock ‘arrogant’, ‘egotistical’ and – to put it bluntly ‘a c**k’.
Soon later, Carol received a touch on the back in the Royal Box at the races, much to her surprise. It was Mr Hancock himself.
Naturally, Twitter erupted when images of the couple conversing, evidently happily, surfaced, with many accusing Carol of hypocrisy.
Carol, on the other hand, resorted to social media to clear up any doubt about what seemed like a suitably embarrassing meeting.
‘What are you meant to do? You’re in the Royal Box, you can’t call them a [blank] in the royal box can you?’ she explained.
Carol appeared to have enjoyed tonight’s HIGNFY as much as fans did, as she was seen laughing as she exited the studio with Ian and Steph.
