Charlotte Crosby sobbed as she announced her departure from Geordie Shore after living in a “pressure cooker environment” that caused the cast to “explode.”
The reality TV actress, who gave birth to daughter Alba in October 2022 with husband Jake Ankers, claims she quit the Cyprus filming after only two days owing to a disagreement with an unnamed show star.
‘There was a silly argument – over a high chair of all things -that escalated. And I just left,’ she explained.
The 33-year-old, who was shooting with her infant and Jake, burst into tears, saying she was ‘wracked with guilt’ for bringing her family on the MTV reality programme.
Choking up, she said on her Always On podcast: ‘As a mam, you feel so guilty. I was riddled with guilt. I felt anxious, I felt guilty. I think in the weeks I came out of the show I just felt awful. I was so worried. Had I made a bad decision going in there with my family?
‘For that reason, I definitely don’t think I could be involved going forward again, which is so sad. It’s not because of any particular person, and it’s not because I wouldn’t go back because I don’t want to be with them.’

Charlotte recalled her brief experience on the new series with great aspirations, but it ‘ended up going so terribly wrong’ until she subsequently realised it had gone ‘a bit odd.’
Struggling to fight back tears, she said: ‘I feel like I could cry talking about it. I felt an immense amount of guilt for not knowing better. I just thought we were going to have such a good time.’
While Charlotte said there were ‘some good times’ on the Mediterranean island, she said that ultimately a ‘pressure cooker environment’ was created designed to make the cast ‘explode.’
The Sun alleged in May that Charlotte had quit Geordie Shore and flown back home from Cyprus and also claimed the show has been axed after 12 years.
A source said: ‘TV chiefs have decided the time has come to call it a day on Geordie Shore.
‘The already commissioned series, which is the show’s 24th, will go ahead with filming kicking off this weekend and the reunion will go ahead as planned later this summer.
‘But once those have been filmed MTV have decided to rest the series and will not be commissioning anymore.’
Charlotte joined the Geordie Show as an initial cast member in 2011, left in 2016, and returned last year.
Geordie Shore returns to MTV later this year.
