Courteney Cox implored Claudia Winkleman for a role in the second season of The Traitors, but she was turned down.
The Traitors was announced to return for a second season after becoming the unexpected success of 2022, culminating in one of the greatest episodes of television ever and earning a Bafta nomination.
Applications are now being accepted to remain in the Highland palace, become a nervous disaster, and follow in the footsteps of Amanda and Maddy to become a true hun. Courteney, a Friends star and Scream queen, is one show devotee who is absolutely forbidden from starring on The Traitors.
Claudia put out a call to fans in a humorous film, urging them to apply while standing beside a hooded figure who progressively exposed themselves to be one of the world’s greatest stars.
‘Claudia, please can I do it?’ pleaded Courteney. But her cries fell on deaf ears.

‘I’ve said this to you before, it’s a no,’ stressed Claudia.
’You cannot apply if you’re a celebrity or as famous as this one. Now… off you go.’
Needless to say, fans were gagged by the reveal, with one posting: ‘THE WAY I GASPED???’ which was followed by another who confessed: ‘I did not see this coming.’
The Traitors did recently enlist the help of some celebrities for a one-off Comic Relief skit, but Metro believes that there are no plans for a star series.
Confirming its return, Claudia previously said: ‘I can’t wait to go back to the castle to watch people play the greatest game on television.
‘I’m knitting a high funnel sweater immediately.’
The Traitors returns to BBC One later this year.
