Stephen Mulhern followers believe he has officially confirmed his participation on Dancing On Ice.
The next season of the celebrity figure skating competition starts in January 2024, and much speculation has centred on who would replace Phillip Schofield as presenter.
The former This Morning host resigned from ITV earlier this year after confessing to lying about a ‘unwise but not criminal’ romance with a junior staff member.
After a mysterious Instagram post, fans believe the Deal or No Deal host is about to take over.
Stephen posted a selfie of himself at a recording studio on Thursday, wearing headphones in front of a microphone.
Sporting a woolly jumper with a finger up to his lips, he teased: ‘I’m in the studio recording a voice over today! What do you think I could be saying?’

His followers think he might be dropping a big hint for his next career move. ‘Welcome to dancing on ice,’ replied follower @mattandcal_20, while fan @katespuddy jones added: ‘I’m the new host for Dancing on Ice would be Brilliant x (sic)’
Another fan, @67jac, guessed: ‘Voice over for Dancing on Ice???’
Others speculated that it may be the In For A Penny holiday special, and Stephen did upload a photo of himself from the forthcoming Christmas Day programme on Friday morning.

Another image showed Stephen in the identical stance in a studio, with skis and all the gear against a mountain backdrop, showing some shooting trickery.
He quipped: ‘Where I thought we were filming the Christmas special vs where we actually filmed… #InForAPenny is back on @ITV Christmas day at 3.45pm.’
After previously admitting to conversations with ITV over the position, there is still hope for him to join Dancing On Ice.
‘We are talking about it,’ he explained. ‘But I promise you now that nothing is confirmed but if it happens, it will be absolutely amazing… if it doesn’t, look, it doesn’t. I promise you I would tell you if we had it confirmed at this point.’
He continued to the Daily Mail: ‘The lineup is the best it has been in a few years… I am keeping across the lineup, just in case… It is a huge staple, and it has been around.’
