Following the premiere, Maya took to Instagram to thank her followers for their overwhelming support.
She captioned many photos of herself in her already-iconic black cut-out dress, ‘Overwhelmed from last night, thank you so much for your nice thoughts.’
Iain’s wife Laura, who took over as Love Island host after Caroline Flack died, issued a statement on her departure from the show last year.
‘It is so exciting to be part of a show that gets complaints,’ she said while appearing on The Graham Norton Show, with the episode to air tonight.
‘I thought the outfit was really, really sexy and risk taking is what is important to me.’
She added: If I had that body, I would wear less all the time!’
Ekin-Su, too, shrugged off the criticism earlier this week, saying she didn’t mind ‘flaunting’ her body.
‘I mean if you’ve got a nice bum and you look sexy in a unitard, why not. Who cares?’ she told The Sun.
Despite the fact that her naked bodysuit was adorned with mirrors to safeguard her modesty, it wasn’t enough for some.
Some labelled it ‘inappropriate’ because it was meant to be a duplicate of Britney’s 2003 music video.
Most viewers, however, defended her, with one admirer saying that Ekin-Su should have worn a “Sunday dress” to make people happy.
While she and professional partner Brendyn Hatfield, 37, received an impressive 21.5 points from the judges, they will have to skate again this week to avoid elimination after finishing last.
Dancing On Ice continues on Sunday at 6.30pm on ITV1. The Graham Norton Show airs tonight at 10.40pm on BBC One.
