The ‘Strictly curse’ is well known to most Strictly Come Dancing viewers.
The claimed ‘curse,’ which refers to the apparent collapse of a number of celebrity relationships around the time of appearing on the show, frequently captures our attention and generates headlines.
However, the show has also resulted in a lot of joyful love tales.
And, while it may have flown under the radar a little, last year’s series, which ran from September to December 2022, is no exception.
So, who from Strictly 2022 got together? And has their passion withstood the test of time?
Here’s all you need to know.
Did anyone from Strictly 2022 end up dating?
Yep, one couple – celebrity contestants Molly Rainford, 22, and Tyler West, 27.
Molly, who portrays Anna Knight in EastEnders, reportedly met radio DJ Tyler while they both were in the 2022 season of the dance programme.
Molly was dancing her way to the final with pro partner Carlos Gu at the time, while Tyler appeared in multiple episodes with pro Dianne Buswell.
The season ended in 2022, with Hamza Yassin taking home the Glitterball Trophy, but allegations began to circulate that a relationship had formed during the Strictly live tour in early 2023.
In March 2023, Molly and Tyler revealed their romance on TikTok.
Molly revealed how the couple met to Fabulous magazine in June 2023.
She explained: ‘I suppose it developed towards the end of the tour because we’d spent so much time together and we were really good friends.
‘The tour was so much fun. We were just doing everything together and it just progressed from there really.
‘He was like: ‘Do you think when we get back, we could go on a date?” and I was like: “Yeah, alright!” I was totally up for it.’
Molly also shared that the couple had tried to keep things professional during the BBC show’s filming – but added that ‘everyone on Strictly was so excited for us. They kind of wanted it to happen…’
And it appears that Molly and Tyler’s relationship is still going strong after several months.
The happy pair recently posted Instagram photos from their first trip together – to Jamaica.

Tyler also told the Evening Standard that he loved picking up his girlfriend from the EastEnders set – and was quick to praise her performance in the fairly new role as Anna.
He shared: ‘EastEnders is something that me and my family have always watched, like, my whole family as well, my nana, everybody, so for it to become such a real thing for me is mad!
‘To go behind the scenes and to pick her up from work, I get starstruck every day!’
‘Sometimes I help her with her lines, but I don’t know anything that’s going on… She’s amazing at what she does and in all honesty, even though I talk for a living, I don’t know how she does what she does… she is on another level with it.’
Of course, Molly and Tyler aren’t the first Strictly duo to have a successful career after the programme.
EastEnders’ Maisie Smith, 22, and The Wanted’s Max George, 34, were both on Strictly in 2020, and their romance made news when it began in 2022. They are still together.
Stacey Dooley, 36, and Kevin Clifton, 40, met shortly after winning the show in 2019 and have been together ever since, expecting daughter Minnie in January 2023.
Rachel Riley, 37, of Countdown, and pro Pasha Kovalev, 43, danced together in the 2013 series. After marrying in 2019, the couple welcomed two kids, Maven and Noa.
Other Strictly couples who are still together include dancer Dianne Buswell, 34, and her YouTuber partner Joe Sugg, 31, as well as ex-Hollyoaks star Gemma Atkinson, 38, and dancer Gorka Marquez, 33.
