A woman is afraid of bursting the ‘blistery’ pimples dangling below her eyes for fear of going blind.
However, the ‘grapefruit’-like growths are obstructing some of her peripheral vision, and she is now seeking medical attention.
The patient is telling her experience on Dr Pimple Popper, where individuals from all around the country come to dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon Dr Sandra Lee for treatment with their and concerns. ‘spots’.
In earlier episodes, this has ranged from a person having “maggots” in their toes to rashes smelling like “hot trash.”
Dr. Lee has previously assisted patients with a ‘third breast’ beneath an armpit, as well as a guy with 400 tumours across his body.
However, one patient is now afraid of going blind.
In a preview for an upcoming episode, she explains: ‘The one on my right eye feels liquid-filled.’
Her family member adds: ‘It almost looks like a large blister.’
The patient continues: ‘It does have veins around it which kind of scares me.
‘In all honesty, it feels like a big grapefruit hanging off the right side of my eye.
‘The one on my left side looks like a bruise, almost like a blueberry.’
She tearfully says: ‘When I look at anybody or anything, I literally see these bumps out of the corner of my eyes.
‘I can’t see anything out of my peripheral.’
She goes on to say that when people question why she doesn’t pop them, it’s because she’s afraid.
‘One of my major fears is possibly going blind.
‘They’re mystery bumps, I don’t know what it is.
‘The not knowing is just eating away at me, everyday.’
This comes after one woman described how she emotionally’shuts down’ when others comment on the symmetrical pimples on her face.
Porscha begins: ‘These bumps are the main things my customers concentrate on.
‘As I’m talking to them slowly, I see their eyes drop.
‘From my eyes they start staring at my bump, and then the conversation leads into, “Is that intentional? Is that body modification?”
‘And that shuts me down.’
