Ekin-Su Culculoglu, the winner of Love Island in 2022, has said that she alienated a number of her former castmates upon leaving the villa.
After returning from their vacation in Majorca with boyfriend Davide Sanclimenti, the Dancing On Ice star, who was saved from elimination on the ITV programme after landing in the skate-off on Sunday, talked openly about her life.
Ekin-Su said that her friends sold allegations about her to the media, in a Reddit exchange with another former Love Island competitor Joe Garratt.
‘I lost so many friends coming out,’ she said. ‘I don’t have any friends left because they sold stories of me.’
Joe, devastated by her confession, said, ‘Oh that’s so sad, well they weren’t friends then. They sucked. That’s jealousy man, it really is.’

But Ekin-Su remained positive, and exclaimed: ‘But then you make new friends who understand you.’
‘I lost so many friends coming out. I don’t have any friends left because they sold stories of me.’

Ekin-Su urged the winter 2018 Love Island contestants to be themselves once the show ends.
‘Don’t get caught up in this ego where you think you’re this celebrity and so you should act a certain way and belittle people – you shouldn’t,’ she said.
‘We’re all equal, I feel like even the person who cleans the toilet, you should respect that person because we’re all the same. Be humble, always.’
Despite the loss of her friends, Ekin-Su is over over heels in love with her boyfriend, Davide, and the two have just moved in together.
To get higher is the only option.
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
