Warning – contains spoilers for Sex/Life season two.
Fans of Sex/Life have been treated to a plethora of Inappropriate moments.
The bawdy Netflix drama follows Billie Connelly (Sarah Shahi) as she juggles her marriage to husband Cooper (Mike Vogel) with dreams involving ex-boyfriend Brad Simon (Adam Demos) as he reappears in her life.
From rebuilt penises to the notorious shower scene, the blockbuster programme has caused online meltdowns on several occasions.
Yet the second season, which premiered on March 2, has given viewers even more reasons to be enthralled, with one scene becoming too provocative even for those filming it.
In the scene in question, Billie is having an intimate moment with her love interest Majid (Darius Homayoun), which leads to Billie conducting a prostate massage on her love.
Speaking to Today about the scenario, leading lady Shahi explained that the camera crew couldn’t see her and her co-star perform since they were filming.
‘The camera men couldn’t even look,’ she says,’so we’ll simply press record and walk away.’
Nonetheless, she and co-star Homayoun both agreed that the sequence was appropriate for the programme, and ‘thank heavens he was so game for it.’
The show’s sex scenes, according to Shahi, are intended to’make a statement’ as much as to entertain.
‘It is making a statement. Sexuality and what gets people off is not anything to be ashamed of,’ she continued.
She used another well-known scenario in which a pregnant lady has sex late in her pregnancy as an example.
‘Pregnant women should have sex. Pregnant women are very horny!’ she said.
‘These statements are true. But as a rule, society is told to shut those voices off. Those are not supposed to be for public knowledge. But we shouldn’t be afraid to go after our desires.’
Sex/Life seasons one and two can be streamed now on Netflix.
