The Love Island 2022 winners have officially been announced, and although Gemma Owen and Luca Bish missed out on the top spot, the pair celebrated their wild journey in the villa with Laura Whitmore.
Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Culculoglu took home the crown, while Indiyah Polack and Dami Hope came third, and Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page finished fourth.
Ahead of the results being announced, the pair sat down with Laura Whitmore and reminisced on their time together over the last eight weeks.
‘As soon as I walked through that door I could see that I was attracted to her,’ Luca recalled, remembering his head ‘was gone’ after a chat to Dami Hope about Michael Owen’s eldest daughter.
‘He was just cheeky, he had a bit about him, nice smile, eyes,’ Gemma gushed meanwhile.
‘I could tell that we were going to get on well and have fun,’ she continued.
Asked by Laura to ‘sum up’ their time in the villa, Gemma added: ‘Stubborn! Stubborn as hell! We both bicker like mad, but we’re literally the same person.’
‘We get on so well,’ she continued, as Luca chimed in with: ‘I’ve never been so in love with someone, and I’ve changed while I’ve been in here… for the better.’
The pair later agreed that their favourite moment from the series had been Becky Hill’s incredible performance.
Meanwhile, Ekin-Su was left in tears as she and Italian stallion Davide were crowned winners.
When she finally got over her shock, she revealed: ‘It feels so surreal finding the man of your dreams.’
