The first Love Island 2023 candidate has been evicted from the villa.
A dramatic recoupling gave the females complete control, leaving one boy alone and forcing him to leave the villa.
Unfortunately, George Fensom had to go.
Ella Thomas and Tyrique Hyde were the series’ first recoupling, while Ruchee Gurung remained with Andre Furtado.
Meanwhile, Catherine Agbaje chose Zachariah Noble, while Molly Marsh chose Mitchel Taylor following a traumatic 24 hours in which she was in tears and investigating other relationships.
Jess Harding married Sammy Root after having ‘butterflies’ with him recently.

Whitney Adebayo was the final female to make a decision, and it was between George and Medhy Malanda – but she chose with Medhy, leaving George unmarried and off to pack his luggage.
But George, a 24-year-old business development executive, took it all in stride.
Following his leaving, the novice reality star stated that his time on the show had been “a blast.”
He also pondered on his pairing with Jess, who acknowledged she’d always have a’soft place’ for him and would miss his ‘banter’ and ‘dad jokes’ after the public matched them up on launch day.
‘Jess is an absolutely lovely girl but it felt more like a friendship. Jess and I were always cracking banter and having the best time. I just don’t think there was anything there romantically, but that’s completely fair enough,’ he said.
‘If it was up to me to choose on day one, I would’ve definitely gone for Molly, she’s such a good-looking girl.’

George worked hard at the villa, chatting with Molly, Ruchee, and Whitney.
‘It’s no secret that all the girls in there are so beautiful and I feel like I did the best I could, I tried to build connections but I’m glad I stayed true to myself,’ he said.
‘I didn’t want to force a connection just for the sake of it.’
Meanwhile, he believes he and Andre were the closest among the boys.
‘They were all legends and I’ll definitely be meeting up with them all when I get out, especially Andre. He was the one guy I always found it easy to talk about nothing with,’ George said sweetly.
‘It was the combination of having a laugh but also having him check in and see how I was doing, we really got each other in that respect.’

Although his Love Island experience was brief, George described it as “the finest thing I’ve ever done.”
‘I’ve loved every minute of it. It’s been so much fun and the most amazing experience from start to finish.’
People were clearly talking about George’s time in the mansion.
Before the show even started, he was making news for exposing old homophobic comments, and ex-girlfriends said he was ‘controlling’ while they dated, which he has denied.
When George eventually appeared on television, he became the topic of Twitter and rapidly became a meme.
In the first episode, spectators were perplexed when he mistook a ‘Casanova’ for an automobile… yikes.
He then perplexed supporters still again by comparing himself to *checks notes* a lasagna?
Everything is possible on Love Island.
Love Island continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
