Viewers of Gogglebox were left in stitches after a hilarious interruption by the Malone family dog.
The TV favourites – dad Tom Sr, wife Julie, and son Shaun, after Tom Jr recently departed the programme – have been a regular on the show since 2014.
In addition to their distinctive quips and facial expressions while watching TV, the family is recognised for being surrounded by at least one of their numerous loving dogs.
Throughout their tenure on Gogglebox, the Malones have had four Rottweiler dogs, with the mischievous Dave frequently stealing the show and being as much a character in the programme as the human Malones.
And Friday’s programme was no exception, as Dave’s appearance pushed Tom Sr off the sofa.
Tom attempted to demonstrate his whistling abilities while the armchair reviewers were watching Sarah Pascoe’s Last Woman on Earth.
Dave, on the other hand, flung himself on Tom, knocking him back off the sofa with his legs still in the air.
‘Dave, get off of me!’ He could be heard yelling from the floor.
Viewers, like Julie and Shaun, couldn’t stop laughing as they watched.
‘Quite possibly the funniest moment ever on Gogglebox history, Dave always gets his old man, Dave the Rotty is a legend!!!!’ one person wrote.
‘Dave is the best thing on Gogglebox. I always watch to see what he does next. He is hilarious,’ another penned.
‘Never a dull moment with Dave,’ someone else joked.
A fourth wrote: ‘I have laughed for 10mins until my sides literally hurt at Tom Malone being floored by Dave the Dog’.
