Greg James has revealed his original video for the Love Island final, which was ‘rejected’ by show bosses.
Last night, after nearly two months of heated arguments, passionate romances and every drama in between in the villa, the winners of the ITV2 programme were finally unveiled.
Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu were the public’s favourite, snagging the £50,000 cash prize, followed by runner’s up Luca Bish and Gemma Owen.
Indiyah Polack and Dami Hope came in third place, while Andrew Le Page and Tasha Ghouri finished in fourth place.
Before the winners were announced, celebrity fans filmed messages of support including Love Island USA host Sarah Hyland, comedian Alan Carr, Black Eyed Peas star will.i.am and radio presenter Greg.
But while viewers watched the 36-year-old share his obsession with Davide and Ekin-Su in a five-second clip, there was another version which didn’t make the cut.
Sharing a video shot in the BBC Radio 1 studio, Greg said: ‘I am so excited for the Love Island final I could lick my own t*t or whatever.

‘Good luck to the finalists, particularly Davide and Ekin-Su and if you don’t want them to win, you’re a liar.’
Greg had caption the footage: ‘Love Island asked me if I wanted to do a video for the final and my first attempt was rejected.’
Fans were loving the original take, with one telling Greg it was ‘the most sensible thing you’ve ever said! 😂😂’

Another wrote: ‘I don’t see anything wrong with the first one anyways smh.’
‘Obsessed with the transparency on Twitter. you are limitless here Greg,’ a viewer penned.
Meanwhile, while Love Island lovers were here for Greg’s unaired final message, they were left fuming by the last-minute twist revealed by host Laura Whitmore, that the £50,000 prize wouldn’t be up for a steal.

Despite the fact that no winning couple has ever had one of them steal the money, viewers couldn’t believe the option had been taken away.
‘Not even asking them to split or steal the money?? I’ve wasted 8 weeks of my life,’ one fan wrote.
Ekin-Su and Davide were overcome with emotion when they were crowned winners of the series, with the actress breaking down in tears.
Meanwhile, Davide joked his favourite moment was branding the 27-year-old a ‘liar’ in a now iconic moment.
Once they’re back from Majorca, Davide revealed he plans on bringing Ekin-Su to Italy to meet the rest of his family after she got the seal of approval from his mother and sister.
The Love Island finale is available to stream on ITV Hub.
