A first peek at the next Happy Valley instalment shows Ryan (Rhys Connah) confronting his evil father Tommy Lee Royce (James Norton) in prison.
Ryan had spent most of his life separated from his father by his grandmother, police sergeant Catherine Cawood, when Tommy raped Catherine’s daughter Becky.
In Catherine’s opinion, Tommy is the reason Becky committed suicide, leaving Ryan in the care of his grandma.
However, viewers discovered in a dramatic cliffhanger that Catherine’s sister Clare Cartwright (Siobhan Finneran) had been taking Ryan to visit his cruel father Tommy in prison.
And now, first look photos show them finally meeting, with Catherine’s partner Neil (Con O’Neill) standing guard.

Catherine confronted Clare in one of the dramatic moments in Happy Valley history after following her sister to Sheffield and watching her drop Ryan off at jail in the second episode of the final season.
As Catherine discovers, the visits have been going on for a year, with Claire and Neil taking Tommy to the prison four times.
Catherine sat outside a neighbouring café, watching Clare lie through her teeth, claiming to be in Leeds, before heading into the cafe and sitting down to face Clare.

Siobhan recently informed This Morning hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield of the following: ‘All I can say is that I think you’ll have to tighten your seatbelts for episode three.’
We’re ready for the wild journey, but it comes as the series comes to a close.
‘This is it, yeah,’ stressed Siobhan. ‘We’re definitely not doing anymore… I wasn’t aware of that, but I think that’s always been in Sally’s and Sarah’s head that they would just do three – which is great.
‘We leave it on something to be cherished, I think, as opposed to letting it become diluted by keep making other episodes.’
Happy Valley continues on Sunday at 10pm on BBC One.
