Today’s This Morning concluded with an enlightening section about unexpected hacks, some of which were unexpectedly beneficial in regular life and others… not so much.
Gyles Brandreth’s demonstration, using a toilet seat, was quite polarising, with Holly Willoughby, Phillip Schofield, and Josie Gibson all completely stunned by what they were watching.
During the life hacks part, Gyles, 74, and Josie, 38, competed to see who could wow Holly, 42, and Phillip, 60, the most with their unique domestic advice.
The presenters turned to look at Gyles at one point… as he put a toilet seat in front of him.
Phillip and Holly looked bewildered as the former MP said that for the life hack that he was going to propose, all one needed was a ‘brand new toilet’.
‘That is all you require. ‘If you have the toilet, you will be able to solve all of your life’s issues,’ he said.
‘You take off the toilet seat, and you’re thinking to yourself how am I going to have supper in front of the TV without spilling all my food down my front?’ he added, as he put the toilet seat over his head to rest on his neck. As you do.
‘No!’ Holly yelled out in dismay, as Josie quipped that it was ‘so disgusting’.
‘I walk away with the first prize!’ Gyles quipped, as he munched away on the snack that he’d actually placed on the rim of the toilet seat balancing in front of his mouth.
Several Even though it was done in jokingly, the proposal that they wear a toilet seat disgusted upset This Morning viewers.
‘A toilet seat, ew!’ one person remarked, while another tweeted: ‘Jesus christ, NO!’
Others, on the other hand, noted that the bulk of the claimed life hacks did not appear to function very effectively.
‘Every single one of these hacks haven’t worked,’ one person summarised, as another stated: ‘This is embarrassing and pointless!’
Whatever the case, it certainly piqued their interest!
