Holly Willoughby has been chastised for sympathising with environment protestors after flying to Glastonbury in a private chopper.
Holly, 42, appeared on Thursday’s broadcast of This Morning as part of a panel addressing the day before when a Just Stop Oil protestor rushed a court at Wimbledon and flung orange confetti and a jigsaw puzzle.
Holly expressed her fear about climate change, saying she could understand the concerns because the earth endured its warmest day since records began on Monday.
In response to the news, guest Nick Ferrari informed Holly and her co-host Craig Doyle that many of his LBC fans had begged him not to cover Just Stop Oil, to which Holly responded, ‘But then you look, we had the warmest day globally on record…’
After Nick stated that there was a “huge problem” with demonstrators disrupting public events, like the Ashes, Holly stated that she “felt” the discomfort, but that the protestors’ goal was that “someone higher up will make a change.”
Her statements, however, enraged many, who called her out on social media as she travelled to the Somerset music festival last month.

‘Holly saying she understands Just Stop Oil because of the climate crisis but happy to take a helicopter to Glastonbury, hypercritical sanctimonious tripe,’ one person posted on Twitter.
‘Just listened to This Morning where the hypocrite Holly Willoughby defended just stop oil telling us that we had the hottest global temperatures he other day and we must do something…what like fly to Glaso in a helicopter. They are laughing at us all,’ someone else wrote.
Another added: ‘Nice to see Holly Willoughby sympathize with the Just Stop Oil protesters having just returned by helicopter from Glastonbury…..irony in a sentence!’

Holly has had an unusual week, having also found herself messing up while live on TV, twice calling individuals the wrong names.
Holly accidentally referred to former EastEnders star Ross Kemp as Roman Kemp when discussing his comeback to the small screen on Tuesday’s broadcast of her ITV breakfast show.
