Carol Vorderman made a surprise appearance on This Morning dressed as Harry Potter villain Voldemort and Holly Willoughby was floored.
The Countdown legend stepped out in a short red dress and stunning makeup as she did her best impression of the Dark Lord, even looking to cast the so-called Killing Curse’ as she quoted the wizard franchise with a booming voice.
‘Harry Potter! The boy who lived has come to die! Avada Kadavra,’ she bellowed. ‘I’m Lady Carol Vorder-mort! And I will live forever!’
Phillip Schofield pointed out the theme for This Morning’s spooky Halloween special was actually the Addams Family, and a sheepish Carol made a swift exit to Loose Women.
However, Holly called after her: ‘You make a very sexy Voldemort, by the way! Gorgeous!’
Her co-star added: ‘Best ever,’ while Holly quipped: ‘That’s how to do Halloween!’
It was an eventful episode for Holly, who was dressed as Wednesday Addams alongside Phil as Uncle Fester and got suitably spooked when a guest’s ghost groom got involved with their interview.
And during the Guess the Spooky Gadget segment, Holly accidentally swore as the time run out just as she was trying to figure out the final item after a game including the likes of fake fangs, a pumpkin seed peeler and more.
‘Oh s**t,’ she shouted as the game came to an end, before quickly apologising as Phil looked shocked.
‘Sorry, sorry, sorry. Something might have just slipped out, I’m so sorry,’ she said, while her co-host added: ‘I’m so sorry, Holly Willoughby may have just swore and for that, I can only apologise and she will, after the show, be hanging in the car park with Matthew Wright.’
Earlier in the show, Matthew appeared to utter a similar swear word, while Holly tried to blame her slip-up on her Halloween costume.
‘It wasn’t Holly, it was Wednesday,’ she insisted, with the score ending with two each with neither of them correctly guessing the caldron (or pots and pans) stirrer.
Phil laughed: ‘Wash your mouth out with soap.’
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
