Hollywood aristocracy Meryl Streep has joined the Only Murders In The Building craze, joining Paul Rudd and Jesse Williams.
Season three filming has already begun, according to executive producer Selena Gomez, who also stars in the hit series.
The ‘who dunnit’ show follows Mabel, (Selena) Charles (Steve Martin), and Oliver (Martin Short) as they try to investigate crimes at the Arconia, a posh New York building.
In the video, the Hands To Myself hitmaker, 30, enthused: ‘Hey guys, we’re on set! What are we shooting? Season three!’
‘The gang is back, yay! Could this honestly get any better? Oh wait!’
Selena later turned her phone to Ant-Man star Paul, who said: ‘Well, I do think it could get a little bit better.’
Cue in Queen Meryl, who popped up behind the sofa and asked Steve and Marty if they needed anything.
Little is known about the Miranda Priestly star’s role in the series, and what link she has to the golden trio, but we can’t wait to find out.

Naturally fans were over the moon over the announcement, with one writing: ‘NOT THE QUEEN THE LEGEND MERYL STREEP JOINING ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING I’M SCREAMING.’
Another added: I didn’t have Meryl Streep on my bingo card for Only Murders in the Building. Oh my God. I’m beyond thrilled. I can’t wait for the new season to begin.
‘Meryl Streep, Paul Rudd and Jesse Williams joining OMITB, season 3 is going to be epic,’ a third person enthused.
The official plot and actor list have not been released, and an air date has not been set.
Over the last two seasons, OMITB has had some pretty prominent guest performers, like Amy Schumer, Cara Delevingne, and genuine Sting playing himself – and Marvel star Paul was confirmed to be joining the group in dramatic manner.
At the end of the episode, he made his debut as Ben Glenroy, landing a leading role in Oliver’s new play with co-star Charles, although it was evident that the two were not getting along.
Paul will be a major character in the next episodes, according to series co-creator John Hoffman.
A statement shared with Variety read: ‘Paul Rudd, after making an auspicious entrance into the world of our show at the end of Season 2 as Ben Glenroy, is someone we clearly want to know more about and see in our upcoming Season 3 — as he is a clear source of many upcoming questions and, as ever with our show, many twists yet to come!’
Only Murders in the Building is available to stream on and Disney Plus.
