Let’s face it, the majority of people would be afraid of appearing on I’m A Celebrity… I need to get out of here!
And Nigel Farage looked horrified beyond his wildest dreams as he made his debut on the ITV1 show.
The latest season of the ITV1 show premieres tonight, with campmates including former Ukip leader Nigel Farage, food critic Grace Dent, former professional boxer Tony Bellew, and This Morning personality Josie Gibson.
Jamie Lynn Spears, Britney Spears‘ sister, has also joined the ranks, saying ahead of the show that she dislikes heights, swimming, and the notion of having to eat “weird things.”
‘I’m not looking forward to any of it,’ she remarked in a video, while expressing her displeasure with what she’d heard about the Dunny, aka the dedicated camp toilet.
In fresh photos published ahead of the first episode of I’m A Celebrity, the 32-year-old can be seen getting strapped up for the yearly skydiving, which formally marks the start of her jungle expedition.
It’s reasonable to say she looked terrified, as if she was wondering why on earth she agreed to do this programme in the first place.
The Zoey 101 star’s eyes were wide with amazement in the photo, as a skydiver sat behind her, holding onto her shoulder straps.
When they eventually got out of the plane, Jamie appeared to be screaming in terror as the wind ripped her hair.
She wasn’t the only member of I’m A Celebrity’s class of 2023 that had to do the skydive, as JLS singer Marvin Humes and actor Nick Pickard joined her.
Jamie shocked fans when she revealed what she was best-known for in her first interview following her casting confirmation.
Despite the fact that she is most recognised as Britney’s sister, she stated to the camera, ‘I’m best known for being an actress and a singer. I have been doing it since I could basically walk.’
She has already been on numerous reality series, most recently Dancing With The Stars in the United States, where she was ousted only last month.
She appeared in Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, an adaption of the British reality series SAS: Who Dares Wins, earlier this year.
On the first day of I’m A Celebrity, Jamie Lynn, Marvin, and Nick had to face the threat of jumping from great heights, while other campmates had to suffer repulsive challenges of their own.
Nigel Farage, whose casting sparked outrage among viewers, was pictured squelching in what seemed to be a mud hole, wearing goggles and appearing scared.
The politician was joined in the challenge by Josie Gibson and Nella Rose, with the This Morning host ending up coated from head to toe.
It appears like there will be a large wait for the first showers in camp!
I’m a Celebrity launches tonight at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
