Winter Love Island 2023 is finally here, with the first episode set to debut on Blue Monday.
While the winter version will differ from the summer edition in various ways (including the show’s migration to South Africa), one thing stays constant for Love Island fans – it’s now time to download the Love Island app.
For the first time, viewers will be able to vote on who will be the first bombshell to enter the show, with 25-year-old Ellie from Norwich and 23-year-old Tom from Barnsley battling to be the first to shake things up in the revamped villa.
However, you must act quickly because voting began at 8 a.m. this morning and will end at 9 p.m. tomorrow (January 13).
So, how do you decide which one to go with?
Here’s how you may vote on the show.
How do you vote on Love Island?
You can vote on Love Island by downloading the free Love Island app for iOS (iOS 9+ or later) or Android (Android 4.4.x or later) on your smartphone.
Downloading the app is the only way to vote, so if you want to have your say, you’ll have to get it.
When you start the programme after downloading it, a ‘vote’ symbol will appear at the bottom of the screen.
You will be able to vote once you have registered on the app.
There, you’ll discover the most recent programme questions for you to vote on.
Iain Stirling, Love Island’s narrator, will announce if there is a vote at the end of each episode and give the deadline for voting.
When a new vote is launched on the show, a new vote event will display at the bottom of the screen in the app, prompting you to vote.

Voting is free, but you can only vote once per device. However, you can register up to six different devices for free voting per account.
If you watch Love Island on demand rather than during the live broadcast, your vote will most likely not be tallied.
What else can you do on the Love Island app?
In addition to voting, the app provides access to First Looks and rumours.
You can now view the profiles of all those taking part in the show, as well as the two additional potential bombshells.
You may also listen to the official podcast, take daily quizzes to test your Love Island knowledge, and purchase for Love Island merchandise.
When are Love Island votes held?
According to ITV, a voting event may begin and end during a show, or it could run several hours or even a day.
You will be required to do different things depending on the type of vote.
You can be asked to save your favourite Islander, pair up a boy and a girl, or choose four Islanders to go on a date with.
In every scenario, the app will explain what you need to do for each vote.
Once you’ve clicked ‘Confirm,’ you won’t be able to vote in that voting event again from that device.
Love Island starts on Monday 16th January at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX
