After a candid talk with Josie Gibson, I’m A Celebrity viewers believe Jamie Lynn Spears has ‘foreshadowed’ her path on the ITV programme.
Britney Spears‘ sister, 32, told This Morning host, 38, that she prefers acting to music because she enjoys ‘creating a character that people want to hate but end up enjoying.’
Fans of the long-running reality show, which this year also features the controversial Nigel Farage, believe the disclosure is the Zoey 101 actress’ ‘game plan’ for the show.
On X, formerly known as Twitter, one remarked: ‘Jamie-Lynn: “I love playing a character that people want to hate but end up liking.” Did she just reveal her game plan? #ImACeleb.’
‘Why do I feel like Jamie Lynn saying “I love playing a character people hate at first then realise they like” is foreshadowing #ImACeleb,’ another shared.
A fourth commented: ‘The way Jamie Lynn said “I love playing a character that people want to hate but end up loving” if that’s a hint, then you got it wrong honey.’
Josie had asked Jamie Lynn, who has worked as a solo musician, releasing debut song How Could I Want More in 2014, and as an actor on programmes such as Netflix’s Sweet Magnolias, which media she liked in order to get to know her.
Jamie Lynn replied: ‘I like acting, music is so personal. It takes so much more out of you, like with acting, you’re like escaping it to be another character.
‘I love playing like a character that people want to hate but they end up liking, you know.’
Jamie Lynn has previously been exposed to a Bushtucker Trial after upsetting fans by signing up for I’m A Celebrity and then apparently refusing to participate in media interviews before to the show’s debut.
She also opened up about her older sister Britney, 41, telling her fellow campmates they’d talked before she entered the jungle, despite accusations the two were separated due to suspicions she was engaged in the Womaniser singer’s contentious conservatorship.
Speaking on Monday’s episode, Jamie Lynn told campmate Fred Sirieix: ‘I think every family fights and has their stuff but I talked to her before I came here and we love each other.’

Britney wrote about her strained relationship with Jamie Lynn in her memoir, The Woman In Me, sharing: ‘My sister and I should have found comfort in each other, but unfortunately that hasn’t been the case.
‘As I was fighting the conservatorship and receiving a lot of press attention, she was writing a book capitalising on it.
‘She rushed out salacious stories about me, many of them hurtful and outrageous. I was really let down.’
But the Toxic singer also said she ‘loved’ her sister and wished her ‘the absolute best’.
The conservatorship, which is normally intended for persons who are unable to make their own decisions, had been in existence for nearly 13 years until being dismissed by a Los Angeles court in November 2021.
I’m A Celebrity continues tonight on ITV and ITVX at 9pm.
