I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here star Scarlette Douglas is single and looking for love – preferably with a certain comedian called Mo Gilligan.
The A Place In The Sun presenter split from her longtime boyfriend earlier this year and is ready to get back on the dating scene.
She confessed her massive crush on The Masked Singer judge right before she went into the jungle, stating: ‘He is hilarious and I totally fancy him.’
Well, imagine her face when she entered the I’m A Celeb jungle to find his friend and Gogglebox sidekick Babatunde Aleshe was also a campmate on this year’s series.
Naturally, Scarlette used her proximity to someone in Mo’s inner circle to try and get herself a date with the comedian and Babatunde agreed to put a word in.
Speaking on the MOBO Awards red carpet on Wednesday, the TV star revealed: ‘I went in there like, “Baba, you don’t know me but I know you and I need you to set me up with Mo, OK”.
‘He’s like I’ll see what I can do when I get out so, if you’re listening Baba, I need that.’
Scarlette, 35, might be in luck as Mo, 34, is believed to also be single after reportedly splitting from his girlfriend, former Hollyoaks actress Sophie Wise, earlier this year. So clearly, the potential lovebirds have a lot in common with their recent break-ups.
The I’m A Celeb campmates have flown back to the UK after the end of this year’s series, which saw footballer Jill Scott crowned queen of the jungle.
They may have only just touched down on home soil but Scarlette confirmed the I’m A Celeb Whatsapp group is alive and kicking.
‘Yes, we’ve got the Whatsapp group, everyone’s messaging and everyone’s landed now,’ she revealed.
‘Even Baba, I told him I was here today and he’s like, “do you not sleep?”’
The presenter added: ‘We’re all getting on really well and we were really tight in there so that was nice.’
Scarlette also opened up about her relationship with Matt Hancock in the jungle and admitted that while she couldn’t be certain if he was ‘genuine’, she appreciated that he got stuck into camp life.
