Janet Street-Porter of Loose Women mocked her lengthy history of turbulent love relationships and the hilarious manner her previous husband discovered her cheating.
The 76-year-old broadcaster has been married four times, the first time to photographer Tim Street-Porter when she was 19 years old.
The red-haired TV actress, known for her honest discussions and no-frills approach to confronting social issues, spoke up about her love life during an edition of the panel programme on Monday.
Following Vanessa Feltz’s recent split announcement, the prominent ladies debated whether trust could be repaired once lost.
While co-panelists Ruth Langsford, Dame Kelly Holmes, and Linda Robson appeared to concur that once the connection was cut, Janet had a different take.
She began by laughing about her public love life and the fact that sensitive aspects of her romances were not hidden from everyone.

Dame Kelly was astonished to find that her colleague had a succession of relationships during her multiple marriages, although admitting she had cheated in the past.
‘One of my husbands caught me in the boot of a car,’ Janet started.
‘I was fleeing from a restaurant with my boyfriend and ran off and the next day he said he wanted to get divorced on Monday and I thought about it Sunday and I said, “Do you know what? We’ve had a good run for our money”.

‘I met him in the lawyer’s office and said, “I’m sorry to tell you this, I don’t want forgiveness, you are perfectly entitled to divorce me, I have behaved appallingly and I think it would be better for both of us if we got divorced.”’
She continued: ‘And in fact, we got divorced and we remained friends and I very much liked his next wife and we got on very well.’
Linda then remarked that she wanted to know what car it was since it had a fairly huge boot, which elicited a burst of laughs from the audience.
Her advise to people experiencing extramarital affairs? ‘Park it like a vehicle, you’ve done it, you’ve gone home, you’ve made supper, and you’ve carried on as usual.
‘If they find out, well, they find out and it’s how they deal with it’.
