Jeopardy! crowned a new champion on Tuesday, but it wasn’t contestant Brian Henegar’s general knowledge that drew the most attention.
Some fans were more interested in his debut on the popular game show, which will be broadcast in the UK soon.
Many people resorted to social media to connect Brian’s appearance to those of Adolf Hitler.
‘Congratulations to Hitler for winning Jeopardy today,’ one Twitter user commented, and another added, ‘Is it just me, or does that Jeopardy contestant look like Hitler?’
Brian decided to respond to the hurtful remarks.
He claimed that, despite having the moustache for ten years, he was preparing to remove it, citing the upkeep as the main reason.
Brian, on the other hand, later changed his mind on what to do with his moustache.

Instead of shaving it off altogether, he intends to grow a goatee.
‘I run the risk of making myself look like my evil twin from a parallel universe,’ he joked.
He added: ‘To all your jerkolas you thought comparing my appearance to one of the most evil dictators who ever lived was the height of comedy, when I get my Jeopardy winnings, I will be making a donation to the Anti-Defamation League.’
Brian hopes that the ‘hatred’ will result in’some good’.
The 40-year-old won $23,201 (£18,640) on the American game show, allowing him to make a significant donation.
Brian’s reception was not entirely negative. Many individuals applauded the Tennessee guest services representative for his energy.
When host Ken Jennings told Brian he’d won, he gripped the podium and laughed, clearly surprised.
One person tweeted: ‘Seeing the reaction of tonight’s Jeopardy champ made me so, so happy. It’s cool to see someone so genuinely happy/surprised!’
It will not be the last time spectators see him. Because Brian was successful, he will be entrusted with defending his championship on future episodes until he is defeated.
Instead of providing a response, participants must provide a question. Answers are supplied to each person, and they must determine what the question is.
