After Jeremy Renner was gravely injured in a snow plough accident, Jeremy Renner’s marketing materials were modified by Paramount Plus.
The 52-year-old actor, best known for his role as the bow-and-arrow-wielding Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, was brought to the hospital on January 1 after the incident.
According to authorities, the actor was helping a family member clear a car from heavy snow when he was run over by his own six-tonne ploughing machine.
According to his rep, the American Hustle actor was rushed to the hospital after sustaining ‘blunt chest trauma and orthopaedic injuries’ in an accident.
The incident occurred near the Mount Rose Highway, which connects Lake Tahoe to south Reno and straddles the Nevada-California border.
The Avengers actor is presently appearing as Mike McLusky in the criminal drama Mayor of Kingstown for Paramount Plus.
Following the accident, the marketing material for the second season of the show was updated in order to show respect for Jeremy.
The bruises and cuts on the actor’s face have been removed from the modified advertising material.
Reflecting on the edit, Hugh Dillon, the show’s co-creator, told The Hollywood Reporter: ‘It’s good of the network. Everybody is sensitive to Jeremy.’

On Tuesday, the Bourne Legacy star revealed that he had returned home from the hospital and was able to watch the season two premiere of Mayor of Kingstown with his family.
‘Outside my brain fog in recovery, I was really happy to watch episode 201 with my family at home,’ he wrote in response to a tweet from the show’s official account.
Jeremy had been posting glimpses of his time in the hospital on social media throughout his recovery, including his 52nd birthday festivities.
He also admitted to missing his snow-covered home, but urged people to stay safe in the freezing conditions.
His sister, Kym, has offered a health update in a chat with People Magazine, telling the publication: ‘We are so thrilled with his progress.
‘If anyone knows Jeremy, he is a fighter and doesn’t mess around. He is crushing all the progress goals.
‘We couldn’t feel more positive about the road ahead.’
Mayor of Kingstown continues on Sunday on Paramount Plus.
