In his first sit-down interview with Diane Sawyer since being rushed to the hospital, Jeremy Renner revealed out about his tragic snow plough accident.
The Marvel actor was injured in the encounter on New Year’s Day after leaping into action to save his nephew.
He suffered 14 fractured ribs, eye socket injury, and a collapsed lung as a result of a ‘piercing’ from a bone and has been healing ever since.
Despite the extreme damage, the 52-year-old insisted in the two-minute trailer: ‘I’d do it again. Because it was going right at my nephew.
‘I chose to survive. You’re not going to kill me. No way.’
He also said in the program, which will debut on April 6, that he was awake for “every moment” of the collision.
Jeremy’s nephew gave his own story, admitting that he believed his uncle had perished while ploughing.
‘I just perfectly see him in a pool of blood coming from his head,’ he recalled. ‘I ran up to him. I didn’t think he was alive.’
Diane reeled off a list of his injuries, stating: ‘Eight ribs broken in 14 places, right knee, right ankle broken, left leg tibia broken, the left ankle broken, right clavicle broken, right shoulder broken.
‘Face, eye socket, the jaw, the mandible broken, lung collapsed, pierced from the rib bone, your liver. Sounds terrifying.’
When asked if he sees the same face in the mirror now, the Hawkeye star said, “No, I see a lucky man.”
‘I’ve lost a lot of flesh and bone in this experience, but I’ve been refueled and refilled with love and titanium.’

When word of his collision in January broke, Jeremy was met with concern and an outpouring of love from fans and celebrity friends.
On social media, the Hollywood actor revealed snippets of his hospital stay and recuperation with fans, and he was recently seen walking upright for the first time.
He highlighted earlier this week how important his daughter, Ava, whom he shares with ex Sonni Pacheco, has been in his comeback to health.
Taking to Instagram, he shared a picture to mark her milestone birthday, penning: ‘Happy 10th Birthday to you!!!! So very proud of you in every way. Your hugs and your love, have healed me so incredibly fast.
‘I stand up for you, and I am stronger than before because of you. I am your Father, I am your protector, and I am only yours. I love you, daddy.’
