Joe Swash was the next celebrity ousted from I’m A Celebrity South Africa.
During Tuesday’s episode, the campmates were asked to select coloured rocks from a bag to determine who would face a survival test; each celebrity then chose someone to save from the perilous assignment.
Cricketer Phil Tufnell and the former EastEnders actor were the final two people not chosen, which meant they had to face Temple of Doom.
The pair battled for survival, attempting to open four locks and deciphering symbols from the holes in the tomb’s top. Joe and Phil battled it out in a race against the time to escape first and save their position in camp; however, Joe faltered in the final few seconds and ultimately forfeited his place in the competition.
When asked about returning to the jungle for the second time by hosts Ant and Dec, he simply stated that he was ‘too old for this game’ and ‘over it’ compared to his previous appearance on the show, which he won in 2008.
This comes after the former Dancing on Ice winner sobbed during Monday night’s episode and had to be consoled by fellow campmates Myleene Klass and Jordan Banjo.

Joe, 41, told them how much he missed his children and his wife, Stacey Solomon, and how both fellow parents could completely understand how he felt.
The I’m A Celeb winner has a 15-year-old son Harry from a previous relationship, as well kids Rex, three, Rose, one, and baby Belle with Stacey.
Following his exit, Joe said: ‘I think I found it tougher ultimately because of being away from the kids for so long. I missed my family so much. We had our phones taken away and I’ve never not had communication with them before. My kids are young and I knew they wouldn’t really understand where I was and would be upset.
‘It really played on me. And being in the camp, it always brings up memories for me of Stacey. If it wasn’t for the show, I would never have my family. My family were always in the front of my mind. I found that really difficult. A lot harder than I thought I would. But again I was really lucky as the people in camp kept my spirits high.’
I’m A Celebrity…South Africa returns tonight at 9pm on ITV.
