Joey Essex has already been gushing about his professional partner, Vanessa Bauer, on Dancing On Ice 2023.
The 32-year-old former Towie star has been paired with the German figure skating champion, who has previously partnered with Jake Quickenden and Perri Kiely.
Vanessa is back for her sixth series of the daring skating competition to teach Joey not only how to stay steady on the ice, but also how to accomplish lifts and tricks.
He appears to have difficulty spending the majority of his time with her, and was swooning over Vanessa within five minutes after they met.
In the VT from their first training session together, Joey praised: ‘Vanessa’s nice. She’s beautiful.’
‘I think you and me will get on,’ he told her, before urging Vanessa to ‘put me in my place.’
The mischievous Essex lad then attempted a not-so-smooth swamp digits.
‘How are we gonna stay in touch? Can I get your number?’, he asked, to which Vanessa happily agreed.
‘There’s a bit of flirting going on. Vanessa’s single, I’m single…’, Joey told cameras.
Joey was probed on his feelings by broadcaster Holly Willoughy after their first performance.

He laughed as he described his partner as ‘pleasant on the eye,’ before Holly reminded him that she is also a fantastic skater.
Joey and Vanessa received a very respectable 27 for their maiden skate, which saw him glide across the ice with ease to Robbie Williams’ Mack The Knife.
His relationship with Vanessa, on the other hand, seemed to be the only thing people wanted to speak about.
‘Joey Essex treats every programme like a dating opportunity and I’m here for it’, one Twitter user joked.
‘Ok so I ship Joey & Vanessa’, admitted another.
‘Joey spending half the VT just coming on to Vanessa’, one laughed.
The reality TV star has previously been vague about romance rumours involving him and Vanessa, reportedly failing to dispel speculation when pressed by Lorraine Kelly.
‘I mean she’s a great partner,’ he said. ‘She is beautiful and she’s a lovely girl and we get on really well. It’s nice to be with someone who… we literally spend so much time together on the ice. It’s just nice to be happy.’
Dancing On Ice airs Sundays on ITV.
