John Lewis & Partners has teased the first look at its Christmas advert for 2022.
The retailer’s annual festive campaign is arguably the most anticipated of the lot, and luckily there’s not much longer to wait as it is set for its big release on Thursday (November 11).
It seems as though skateboards will be the shop’s major theme this year, with the 10-second snapshot showing a man wheeling a Christmas tree on the four-wheeled board.
‘Christmas is ramping up #TheBeginner,’ the official Twitter account for John Lews & Partners posted.
The sneaky snapshot has already got fans excited for the yuletide season – and even Specsavers got in on the action, jokingly posting: ‘Please be about Contact Lenses, please be about Contact Lenses.’
‘Putting the tree up now merry Christmas,’ wrote one fan, while another exclaimed: ‘Now I know Christmas is here! 🥳.’
Earlier this week, John Lewis & Partners couldn’t help but make a cheeky swipe at Asda’s Elf-themed advert.
To help spread the Christmas cheer (singing loud for all to hear) the supermarket giant enlisted the help of Will Ferrell’s Buddy with the adored character venturing inside a store.
Reacting to the campaign, the department store wrote: ‘Alright… this one’s quite good 🎄 But we have to ask, how many times did you have to watch Elf @asda.’
